Blue Ocean HPA (High Performance Advisors), was built from a simple observation: that the businesses and projects that struggle are rarely short of talent, ambition or resources. What they are short of is the clarity, the systems and the accountability that turn capability into consistent performance.
Over more than 30 years, working across thousands of businesses and projects in Australia and internationally, we have seen what works and what does not. We have been inside businesses at every stage of development — from founders trying to break through their first million to organisations navigating complex transformation. We have worked on construction projects worth tens of millions and construction programs worth hundreds of millions.
We have built the knowledge, the methodologies and the practical wisdom that comes only from sustained engagement with real organisations under real conditions. Blue Ocean HPA is based in the Sutherland Shire, Sydney. We are not a large firm. We carry none of the overhead and none of the hierarchy that makes large firms expensive and slow. What we are is experienced, direct and completely focused on the outcomes of the clients we work with.

The name Blue Ocean reflects the founding philosophy of the practice. Blue Ocean Strategy — the framework developed by Professors W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne — argues that the most successful businesses do not compete in crowded, commoditised markets. This is not just a strategic framework we deploy for clients. It is the lens through which we built the practice itself. Blue Ocean HPA does not compete in the crowded market of generic business coaches and large consulting firms.
